When asked what her favorite memory from school was, she would first speak of the many opportunities the
educational system provided her. She remembers fondly being regularly serenaded

She never understood why they wanted her approval but she
thought they were great singers.

from Pendleton Middle School. She was also the librarian. Her
love was God, books, reading and her students.
Louise was married to the late Joe Stevens who was
not only a wonderful husband but also a great Dad. She
is survived by three children, Rodney Stevens,
Columbia, SC, Michelle Stevens, Pendleton SC and

“Aunt Louise” and for officiating the program.
