Ms. Johnnie Bell Carson departed this life on November 1, 2019 at AnMed Health Center, Anderson, SC. She was born on October 26, 1923 to the late Anna Belle Jenkins Lewis and John Henry Harris.
She was 96 years old, and was a resident at NHC Health Care, 1501 East Greenville Street, in Anderson.
She worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital (now known as AnMed Health Center) for many years, and at the Little General on Bolt Drive several years before retiring. She was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sons, Delano Carson, retired Navy Veteran, and Butch Green, both of Anderson; one grandson, Delmono Hood; 3 granddaughters, Kenya Roundtree Blanding, Saudia (Keba) Roundtree, and LaNika “Nikki” Carson; several great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends that she gained over the years during her stay at NHC Health Center.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; 4 brothers, George Harris, John Henry Harris, George Jenkins, and Douglas James Lewis; 5 sisters, Barbara Bentley, Joann Harris, Lizzie Frazier, Margaret Norris and Sarah Fant.
