Carol Jean “Sug” Ware Teasley was born October 10,1949 to the late Gertrude Brown and James Ware.
She was a faithful member of St. Paul Church since childhood. She served on the Women’s Usher Board and the Pulpit Aid until her health declined.
Sug loved her family and her church family. She was a witty and outspoken person. She did not meet a stranger.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three biological children: Jacqueline Walker, Greta Williams and Charles Teasley, all of Anderson, SC; nephew/sons: Derrick Jones, Larry Jones, Damon Wakefield, Kendrick Cowan, and Patrick Cowan; niece/daughter: Pamela Brown Perry (Anthony); five biological grandchildren: Joseph Walker, Devon Walker, Chelsea Wiliams, Kahare Teasley and Azaria Teasley; other grands, Tytianna Wakefield, Emory Wakefield, and Kamryn Perry; and three biological great-grandchildren: Taelon Armstrong, Emerie Walker and Legend McCowan. She leaves behind 8 siblings: Gracie Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD, Sceleto Rice of Washington, DC, Wilma Clinkscales of Anderson, Philameno Hill of Cary, NC, Frazier Jones of Anderson, Phil Jones, Jr. of El Paso, TX, Ellis Jones of Capital Hill, CA and Bersail Jones of Columbia, SC. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Her smile will be missed by many!
She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Jones; five uncles, Marshall Wakefield, Samuel Wakefield, Boyd Brown, James Brown, and Willie L. Brown; and two aunts, Eliza Wakefield and Mary Jones.
