Diana Jenkins Chatman was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 6, 1957, to Roland Van Jenkins and Katy Lee Jenkins. She was the eldest of 5 children, and was raised in Garfield Heights, OH, a suburb of Cleveland, OH. Diana graduated from John F. Kennedy High School.
After high school, Diana served in the United States Army where she met and dated Thomas Edward Chatman. They were married on March 17, 1979, and have one daughter, LaRosa Racquel (Chatman) Nof. Diana and Thomas loved to watch movies, shoot pool, travel, host family barbeques, dance, and spoil the grandchildren.
Diana earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Baker College. During her career, Diana worked for major aerospace and defense companies such as Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
During their marriage and careers, Diana and Thomas lived at several Air Force, Army and Naval bases located in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and New Jersey. They made Georgia their home after Thomas retired. They were married for 38 years at the time of his passing in 2017.
In her leisure time, Diana enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family, cooking and completing complex puzzles.
Those left to cherish many memories are Daughter: LaRosa (Chatman) Nof, Loganville, GA; Grandchildren: Jordyne Aliya Nof, Gabryel Shi Nof, and Brooklyne A’mya Rich, all of Loganville, GA; Sisters: Victoria Jenkins and Patricia Jenkins, both of Panama City, FL; Brothers: Anton Jenkins, Lawrenceville, GA, and Samuel Jenkins, Panama City, FL.
Diana was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
