Donald Ray “Crip” Lindsey, age 70, of 205 Huntington Drive, Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Donald was born on June 8, 1954, in Anderson, SC, to the late Claude and Dorothy Lindsey. He attended Westside High School. Donald was a professional truck driver for over 30 years.
Donald was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, drag racing, playing spades, and watching “Hot Rods” on television. He was also a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan, and an avid music lover.
Family meant everything to Donald. He had a deep love for his children, and he took immense pride in watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Frances; Four children, Monica (Dante) Paul, Lisa Williams, Antasha “Vet” Smith, and Courtney (Paige) Lindsey, all of Anderson, SC; Twelve grandchildren, Katarius Paul, Kieantae Paul, Jerald Howard II, Khalil Paul, Jayden Howard, Kam Paul, Deanna Smith, Jaysson Howard, Keondre Cook, Zelmon Norman, Zykeriah Mills, and Jayshaun Mosley, all of Anderson, SC; Four great-grandchildren, Kalayah Paul, Kiyomi Paul, Jesiah Howard, and a new Baby Girl arriving in August.
Donald is also survived by one brother, Alvin (Mary) Greenlee of Anderson, SC; an uncle, James Lindsey, of Anderson, SC; and an aunt, Leona Bone, of Athens, GA.
He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Dorothy Lindsey, of Anderson, SC.
