Mrs. Dorothy Bell Suber Brewington Wright was born on February 24, 1941, to Mr. Harold & Ada Suber. Mrs. Wright departed this life at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2022.
Mrs. Wright joined Deep Creek United Methodist Church as a young child. As a member of Deep Creek United Methodist, she served in several capacities, which included the Missionary Society, United Methodist Church Women, and the Adult Choir.
Mrs. Wright later joined Agape Outreach Church and was baptized under the leadership of her son-in-law, Pastor Jarvis L. Brown. There she served in various organizations, The Praise Team, Outreach Ministry, Culinary Arts Ministry, Evangelism Team, The Pastor Support Team, the Hospitality Committee and The Church Counsel.
Mrs. Dorothy Wright served with her heart to bless people in the community. She loved cooking and she loved people, all people. She never met a stranger because she never made herself a stranger to anyone.
In earlier years, Mrs. Wright was an entrepreneur. She was a licensed cosmetologist and a co-owner of the Buckeye Grill. Prior to retirement, she worked as a cook at Cobbs Glenn, Michelin, and at Agape Christian Learning Center for years.
She was married at an early age to Mr. Bobby Brewington, through this union they had four children: Roselyn (Gilbert) Nnabuaku, Ayette (Van) Dawson, Stanley (Marva) Brewington and April (Jarvis) Brown. She later married David Wright Jr. and together they had two sons. Ricos Wright through the union of their marriage and Roger (Crystal) Wright is David’s son from a prior union. In addition to her birth children, she had a host of children from several generations who viewed her as Mother. In particularly Samuel (Patricia) Wakefield and Serita (Ronald) Acker.
She certainly will be missed by her fifteen grandchildren: Chinyere Alexander, Ijeoma Nnabuaku, Chuwuemeka Nnabuaku, Kiruka Bancroft, Daja Dawson, DaVaughn Dawson, Danesha Dawson, Sierra Fletcher, Lauren Brewington, Daniel Brown, Thailian Brown, Tyveun Brown, Trenton Wright, Brenasha Wright, Yvonne Wright. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings; Eloise Heard, Thelma (Elic) Jackson, her brother Fred (Shirley) Suber and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Her legacy of love will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many generations to come.
