Jeanette Moss Stewart Tucker

After 111 years, Our Beloved Aunt Jeanette has gone to be with our Lord.   Jeanette Moss Stewart Tucker was born July 4, 1912, in Rock Mills Township in Anderson County, South Carolina, to the late Wiley and Queen Walker Moss.  Mrs. Tucker was also preceded in death by her sister, Jaine Carter, who lived to be 100 years old.

Mrs. Tucker was married to Sylvester Stewart who preceded her in death.  She was later united in marriage to Willie Augusta “Buster” Tucker, who also preceded her in death.

There were no children to these unions, however, Mrs. Tucker spent many years rearing and nurturing Christopher Pracht and family, as well as taking care of Mr. & Mrs. Walter Lewis Glenn, Catherine Pracht Young and Eunice Sullivan Pracht. 

Mrs. Tucker held a membership for many years at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Board, the choir, the Usher Board, and was recognized as the Mother of the Church.  She also faithfully attended St. Paul Baptist Church where she was much loved and highly respected by the congregation.

Aunt Jeanette will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends, among whom is her loving niece and longtime caregiver and friend, Priscilla Stewart.

If anyone ever asked Aunt Jeanette, “How did you live so long?”…. She would always reply:  "I LOVE THE LORD and I LOVE PEOPLE.  And, it’s only because of Him that I have lived these many years”.
