Lenard Dibrenchy Street Obituary

March 8, 1965 was a day of greatness.  A phenomenal son would bless this world.  Lenard D. Street was born to Mr. Daniel Street Sr and Mrs. Ola Mae Street in Columbus, Georgia. This angel was born with a perfect smile that would be everlasting on all that he encountered.  Lenard was the baby boy and the last of 7 kids.  Our God, in his wise care closed the final chapter on Lenard D. Street's life on March 30, 2025. Lenard peacefully transitioned to claim his rightful place with God in his eternal home.

Lenard was educated in the Columbus public school system, where he graduated from Shaw High School.  At Shaw, Lenard was an avid baseball player and played football.  Upon graduating from Shaw, Lenard pursed higher education on a baseball scholarship at Georgia Southwestern State College.

Lenard was employed and retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) after 35 years.  Lenard mastered the art of delivery business and climbed the corporate ladder to division manager.  There at UPS, Lenard met lifetime friends, whom he cherished and called his extended family.

Lenard was not complete until he met and married the love of his life, Tammy Walls.  Tammy was "The Apple of Lenard's EYES".  They initially met in Junior High School and reconnected during college to love and cherish each other until death do them part.  The love birds would share 37 years of blissful marriage and spend more than 41 years together.  Lenard adored Tammy and she him.  To this union they would be blessed to nourish and raise 4 beautiful children, Travis, Jessica, Jasmine and Daeshon.   Lenard was at his best when he was with his family.  They would share many trips, laughs and just good times together. Nothing was too good for Lenard's family.

Lenard gave his life to the Lord at an early age but in his last few years, he really trusted God with his life. He would send scriptures to his family and his buddies, and they would spend a great deal of their conversation talking about the goodness of God and being thankful.

Lenard was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Lenard had a magnetic personality and never met a stranger.  People loved to be in his company because he was the life of the conversations.  Lenard always made people laugh.  He was a great dresser and avid golfer.  He coached little league baseball and football.
