Member of Saint Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Anderson. Served as a member of the choir, the Parish Council, the Liturgical Committee, the Women’s Club, a Lector and as a Eucharistic minister.

Member of the Anderson County Retired Educators, the South Carolina Education Association, the National Education Association, the Kappa Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Anderson School District 5 Board of Trustees, the South Carolina School Board Association and the South Carolina Alliance of Black Educators.
