Her journey began on September 11, 1947 to the late Lucinda Martin.
At an early age she joined St. Paul First Baptist Church.
She was educated in the public schools in Anderson and was a 1965 graduate of Westside High School. She then moved to Bridgeport Conn. to further her education.
In 1977 she moved back to Anderson to be close to her family to raise her daughter.
She was employed by the Michelin Tire Company until her retirement.
Sue had a heart for connecting with others. She kept those around her laughing.
She was called home on August 11, 2021.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
Her best friend and daughter-Alexis N. Martin (Jatalyun Cowan)
Two grandsons: Kendall M. Martin and Quintein Rice
Her Trusted Companion: Lupe
Brother: Richard Martin, two nephews: Richard Jr. and Derek
Sister: Barbara Martin
A Devoted Caretaker: Nicole Jones
And a host of sorrowing cousins and friends.
