Robbie Isom Obituary

Robbie Lois Isom, affectionately known as “Aunt Robbie”, was born June 6, 1939 to the late Reverend Alonzo and Willie Mae Geer Isom.

Robbie joined Mount Moriah Baptist Church at an early age and remained faithful in attendance to Sunday worship service and bible study until her passing.  She was a graduate of New Deal High School, class of 1957.  Robbie retired from BASF with almost 30 years of service.

Robbie Lois will be greatly missed by all as she was known for her amazing cooking skills.  She was also an avid bowler who traveled and won many trophies.

Her memory will live on in her many loved ones who are left to carry on her legacy.  Robbie leaves a daughter, Sandra R. Isom; grandsons, Rod (Courtney) Isom and Broderick Isom; granddaughter, Briana Isom; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Chloe Isom; sister, Willie P. Kirksey; one niece (reared like a sister), Mary A. Isom; a host of nieces and nephews reared in the home; and many others who loved and cherished her.

Along with her parents, Robbie was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe B., Cleo, and John Thomas Isom; Sisters, Dorothy Boseman, Jewel Little, and Costella and Sophia Isom.

Heaven has truly gained a special angel.

“A LIGHT FROM OUR HOUSEHOLD”

A light from our household is gone,

A voice we loved is stilled;

A place is vacant in our home,

Which never can be filled.

We have to mourn the loss of one,

We did our best to save;

Beloved on earth, regretted still,

Remembered in the grave.

Twas hard to part with one so dear,

We little thought the time was near;

Farewell our dear one – your life is past,

Our love for you till the end will forever last.
