Stephen L. Bentley

Stephen L Bentley, affectionately known by many as Steve, was born June 19, 1952, to the late Ernest and Mary Bentley. He entered eternal rest at his home on October 20, 2024.

He attended Westside high school in Anderson SC. He served in the United States Army and received honorable discharge on March 13,1974. 

Steve possessed a multitude of skills.  He frequently helped family and friends with anything from plumbing to painting. He was a dedicated worker who was proud of the job he did. Steve loved his pets, fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Brian Bentley and his granddaughter, Porsha Hatten. He leaves to honor and cherish his memories, his three children: Paula (Paul) Coleman, Kimla Hatten and Yolanda Brown. 

Other survivors include his siblings; Marion (Shelbie) Bentley, Vanessa Lee, and Tory White; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and A host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
