William Shamari Slade, better known as Shamari Slade was born June 3rd,1996 and departed this life May 26, 2024.
He was the beloved son of Carlton and Debbie Slade of Anderson, South Carolina. He spent his childhood in Anderson, South Carolina, where he was raised as a hardworking, loving, caring, and passionate young man. Shamari was a humble and selfless man who embraced the idea of family.
Shamari graduated from Palmetto High School in Williamston, South Carolina, where he was known as a goofy and athletic individual with a lively spirit. He would make friends with everyone and connect with them no matter who they were. After graduating, Shamari joined the Army Reserves to learn and pursue higher blue-collar knowledge. After the reserves, Shamari worked in manufacturing plants where he was always recognized for his hard work and coachable ability. Taking a break from manufacturing plants, Shamari was self-employed as a handy man and mover. He excelled at adapting and mastering new concepts and jobs. Shamari’s journey eventually led him to his work at Anderson County as a maintenance associate, where he was fortunate enough to work outside like he wanted. While working for the county, Shamari was also pursuing his CDL license and Foster Care license. He was heavily influenced by his mother, Debbie Slade. Shamari wished to help as many kids as possible. He acted as a mentor and big brother to all kids.
Shamari enjoyed numerous hobbies such as Skating, Swimming, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Running, Creating musical beats, Bowling, Snowboarding, Rapping, Video Games and more. Shamari was the kind of individual that excelled at everything he tried. His most favorite hobby was spending quality time with family. Shamari was a family man, who tried to never miss a family function or gathering. He enjoyed cooking out and grilling with family and friends and always made sure everyone had a plate.
Shamari is survived by his daughter, Nubia K’amari Slade with Valentina Martinez, his mother Debbie Slade, his father Carlton Slade Jr, his brother Carlton Slade III of Powdersville, his nephew Braxton Slade, his maternal grandmother Queenie Walker, his paternal grandmother Emma Lois Slade of Williamston, Maternal Aunts: Judy Gambrell, Kimberly Walker; Paternal Aunts: Ruby Slade, Lois Slade, Cassandra Keasler, Monica Acker; Maternal Uncles: Bobby Walker, Jackie Walker, Ronnie Walker; Paternal Uncles: Calvin Slade, Sheldon Slade and a host of Cousins and Friends.
Shamari is proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather Willie Walker and paternal grandfather Carlton Joseph Slade Sr.
